RETREAT FOR BURN-OUT
The past few years burn-out has become one of the most general phenomena in our society and a retreat for burn-out can support this. The pressure to achieve well is enormous, especially socially. You MUST do too much. At work you are overloaded with work and you don’t set your boundaries adequately. Therefore, you take on too much work. You don’t know how to say ‘no’, or if you say ‘no’, nobody listens.
It can also be that your work give you lots of satisfaction, but the atmosphere at work is no good. Maybe you’re being bullied by colleagues, or a colleague doesn’t do his/her work adequately. Your feeling of responsibility for your employer and perfectionism drive you to finish his/her work and/or check it. This puts extra pressure on you.
Often it’s busy at home, because you want to see friends, take the kids to soccer, go on vacation twice a year, give your partner attention and so forth. For this you need enough money, so you must work hard. And if your work isn’t really satisfying, everything becomes an even greater burden. Or the work atmosphere isn’t good. You literally become ‘burnt out’, in other words, you can have a burn-out.
