Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art
The museum is the first museum in the world to show contemporary Tibetan art… and is situated in Emmen!
The idea for the museum stems from Tibetan artist Tashi Norbu’s wish to build a bridge between East and West and opened its doors on 1 June 2017. The museum offers a platform for the works of several Tibetan artists who use different themes regarding the Tibetan culture, religion and political situation.
The museum aims to offer the space to them and the visitor to converse with each other about these subjects. Live performances are held regularly by artist Tashi Norbu and his group of musicians. Workshops are also held several times a year.
