Exposition Russian Icons
Cloister Ter Apel
In 2018 the Cloister museum Ter Apel received a special private collection through legacy. The collection consists of 32 Russian icons from the 18th and 19th century and two cloister chests.
The icons originally hung in Russian-Orthodox churches, especially in North Russia, but also in Russian living rooms. The museum has named this subcollection after her donator, mrs. F. Wilbers.
